About

A cutting chai for your developer brain.

Byte Chai is a faceless short-video channel about AI and developer tools. The idea is the same as a cutting chai at a roadside stall. It is small, quick and strong enough to keep you going.

Two reels a day

09:00 IST, news. One fresh developer tool or AI release, with only the claims its sources support. If the research is weak, that day is skipped.

20:00 IST, AI from scratch. A 100-lesson course in eight modules, posted strictly in order. Each lesson teaches one idea for a smart beginner and points at the next one.

Who it is for

Developers who want to keep up with AI without reading every launch post, and anyone who wants to understand how the models work from the ground up, a few minutes a day.

Every reel has a page here with the video, a short article that goes a little further, and the Instagram link.

How a reel is made

The channel runs as an automated pipeline. AI writes the drafts. Rules and a separate review pass decide whether anything gets posted at all.

  1. 01

    Pick

Mornings start from what developers are talking about: the Hacker News front page, fast-rising GitHub repos and trending Hugging Face models. One release is chosen and verified against at least two sources. Evenings take the next lesson of the course.

  2. 02

    Write

A 40-second script of four to six scenes, each with what is said and what is on screen: real code, a terminal session, a diagram or a short list.

  3. 03

    Check

A rule check for length, legible code and hype words, then a second model pass acting as a strict technical reviewer. Three failed drafts and the day is skipped, not posted.

  4. 04

    Voice and render

The narration is voiced, mixed under a music bed and rendered to a 1080x1920 video with captions and highlighted code.

  5. 05

    Post and write up

The reel goes to Instagram, and this site gets a page with the video and a short article written from the same script.
